    What is GRE?

    The GRADUATE RECORD EXAMINATION, or GRE, is a standardized test designed to assess students’ verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing skills in preparation for graduate study abroad. The test assists in determining the applicant’s suitability for further study. Graduate institutions in nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada use the GRE score to choose students seeking master’s or Ph.D. degrees. Students submitting applications to these universities must include their GRE scores.

    This is a computer-based test with a unique set of questions for each student. The maximum GRE score is 340. The GRE score, however, is not the only factor that will determine an applicant’s acceptance to a university.

    The GRE exam format

    The GRE exam format is divided into two categories: general and subject. The GRE general test assesses your reasoning, critical thinking, math, and verbal abilities. The GRE subject test assesses your knowledge of the course you select. Chemistry, physics, mathematics, psychology, biology, and literature are among the subjects covered. You must take both exams if they are required.

    The GRE Analytical Writing Section

    There are two tasks involved in the analytical writing section of the GRE. You will be presented with a problem and an argument to evaluate and suggest a solution depending on your perspective. It evaluates your critical reasoning, writing, and reading skills. Every assignment requires thirty minutes to accomplish.

    The GRE Verbal Reasoning Section

    The GRE verbal reasoning portion includes reading comprehension, text completion, and sentence equivalence questions. Every test taker needs to attempt a total of 20 questions in 30 minutes of time. This part assesses your Knack for the English language.

    Reasoning in Numbers on the GRE:

    The examination contains topics in algebra, trigonometry, arithmetic, and geometry. In addition, questions involving quantitative comparison, multiple-choice with one response, multiple-choice with one or more options, and numerical entry are provided. It comprises two sections with 20 questions each for which you will be allotted a total of 35 minutes of time.
